How do I change my plan?
You can change your plan directly in your account on Fizz.ca. Changes will go live come your next payment cycle. Good to know: Keep in mind the freeze period during which your plan cannot be modified. Ideally, aim to submit your changes when there are at least six (6) days left in your current payment cycle. How can you know? Go in Your account > My plans. Look right under your monthly price and you will see the days remaining in your payment cycle. When unsubscribing from a plan, the freeze period does not apply. You can proceed at any time. To change your plan: Log in to your account on Fizz.ca and go under My plans > Manage plan > Change my plan. As you change your plan details with the online tool, you will see your new monthly fee in the box below. When you like what you see, save your changes. Important – Any change to your plan must be made in accordance with the plan change policy detailed on https://fizz.ca/en/plan-change-policy. Your new plan Your new plan will be live at the start of your next payment cycle . For a Home Internet plan: When your new plan goes live on the first day of your new payment cycle, restart your Wi-Fi modem. How do I fix a payment issue?
With Fizz, you pay for your plan each month via automatic pre-authorized payments planned 72 hours before the start of your billing cycle. Example. Your payment cycle ends on the 5th of every month. The automatic payment of your plan therefore takes place on the 3rd of the month, and your new cycle starts on the 6th. If a payment fails, you’ll receive automatic reminders that will tell you what you need to do along with the deadline that applies, to pay for your plan yourself to avoid it from being suspended or even cancelled. Please note that Fizz is a prepaid service, and the payment date is fixed and cannot be changed. Additionally, no payment arrangements can be made. Please also note that the total amount of your bill must be paid in a single transaction — it cannot be split between multiple credit cards. My credit card is expired. You must update your payment method at least 72 hours before the end of your payment cycle to make sure your account is updated in time for your next payment. Before removing the card currently associated with your account, you’ll need to add a new one first. My Settings > Payment Methods > Add a new payment method Once your payment method has been updated in your Fizz account, you must associate it to each plan you want to pay with that card. I’m having problems transferring my current phone number to Fizz. Why? What can I do?
Note that a number transfer cannot be done on a line that is already active with Fizz. In other words, if you already have a Fizz plan, porting a number to this plan is not possible; you need to create a new plan. As outlined below, there are several possible reasons for this situation. You will receive an email, as well as an in-account notification explaining the glitch pertaining to your situation, and the next steps to address it. To check your in-account notifications, sign into your account and click on the bell icon next to your name. icon next to your name. Wrong IMEI or account number. Your phone IMEI or your account number with your current provider, whichever one you chose to use, is incorrect. Perhaps you mistyped it when entering it. To correct and redo your phone number transfer request, follow these steps: Verify your information: Ensure that all your personal information (name, address, phone number) is correct and up to date. Resend the request: We have sent you an email containing a link to restart your request. Follow the instructions: Click on the link and restart your request to complete the transfer of your number. To find the IMEI, dial *#06# on the phone you are using with your current provider. If the IMEI number is more than 15 digits long, only use the first 15. I can’t send or receive text messages (SMS). Why?
Some text messages sent by businesses such as 2-step verification messages may not be sent to your phone properly. We continue to gradually roll out this type of service so that it operates optimally with as many companies as possible. Make sure you are in a zone that has adequate coverage. See our network coverage map If you are outside the Fizz network, you can connect via our partner network. Learn about accessing our partner network Troubleshooting: Make sure your plan includes text messages Log into your account to access the text message activation tool. If your plan does not include text messages, it will be impossible for you to send texts on your phone. You can adjust your plan up to 108 hours before the end of your payment cycle to add text messaging. This change to your plan will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You can also add minutes to your plan and use them immediately by buying an Add-On for local or long-distance calls. Restart your phone Reboot (power cycle) your phone by holding down the phone’s start button for 10 seconds. After you reboot, your applications will reload. Your phone will then re-authenticate to the Fizz mobile network. This will allow your phone to recover its authorization to access the network. Do you use a native application? Make sure you are using your phone’s native messaging app. If you are using a non-native application to send your messages, it’s possible that the issue originates with this app. These messaging apps may have their own server or messaging centre. I can’t make any calls on my phone. Why?
Before starting the troubleshooting steps, here are a few points to consider : If you’re having difficulty receiving phone calls (but can make calls) see: My phone isn’t receiving any calls. How can I get a SIM card?
Good to know: if your phone is compatible with eSIMS, our eSIM is free, and you can order, install and activate it all in one shot. If your Fizz SIM card needs to be changed due to the removal of 3G for a VoLTE-compatible card, it will be free. See the steps for an eSIM here. If your phone is not compatible with eSIMs or if you prefer having a physical SIM card, it’s all good as well. The SIM card (subscriber identification module) will connect your phone to the Fizz mobile network so you can use the mobile plan you create. Keep in mind, however, that Fizz does not offer business services: SIM card (their order and their use) are limited to a residential use. Order online Just like anything else these days, a Fizz SIM card can be delivered right to your door. You even get to keep your slippers on. New to Fizz? Go to fizz.ca and create your mobile plan. How do I return my Wi-Fi modem?
Due to the current context at Canada Post, there may be additional delays in receiving the return of your Fizz modem. Rest assured that your cancellation request will be processed without any issues. We appreciate your understanding and patience. 1.Cancellation If you decide to end your subscription, you must return the modem that was loaned to you free of charge by Fizz. The return must be done by mail, following the procedure described below. Defective equipment If you suspect your modem is defective: An agent will perform a few checks with you via chat. If a defect is confirmed, a service appointment will be scheduled by one of our agents so that a technician can inspect the modem at your home. If the issue is confirmed and not caused by misuse, the modem will be replaced at no cost. If the defect is due to misuse, the following fees will apply: Service call fee: $60 (plus applicable taxes) Modem replacement fee: $225 (plus applicable taxes) Lost or stolen equipment If your modem is lost or stolen: You obviously won’t be able to return the device. A service appointment will be scheduled by one of our agents to provide you with a new modem. The following fees will apply: Modem replacement fee: $225 (plus applicable taxes) Service call fee: $60 (plus applicable taxes), if you remain a Fizz customer. Note: If a refund is due, these fees will be deducted from the reimbursed amount.
