What are the instructions to pack and send my phone to Fizz?
Instructions to return your phone Once your online return request has been submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your return label. Here are the steps to follow: Pack your phone and its accessories securely in a reasonably sized box. Print your return label or present your QR code at a Canada Post deposit location. Bring your package to the Canada Post drop-off location before the indicated date - you have 30 days once your return request is submitted. Track the status of your return directly in your account under My Phones > Follow my return. Important: if this device is considered hazardous equipment, please add the mention Hazardous equipment on your package. Preparing your package For a 15-day return, your phone must be in its original box . Don’t forget to include all its accessories and the charger. For a warranty claim, send your phone along with its charger. Pack everything securely in a reasonably sized box to avoid any damage during shipping. You are responsible for your package until Fizz receives it. Consider using a phone return mailing box available at Canada Post. Head to a Canada Post deposit location Make your way to a Canada Post drop-off location with your package with the return label on it or your confirmation email showing your QR code. Respect the deadline outlined in your confirmation email. If you miss your deadline, Canada Post will not accept your package, and you’ll have to resubmit a new return request. Tracking the status of your return You can track your package and the status of your return directly in your account: Log in to your Fizz account and go to My Phones > Follow my return. How do I get started with my new phone?
The excitement that comes with the arrival of a new phone is hard to beat. Congratulations on your latest acquisition. We are delighted you chose Fizz to enjoy it. Any phone purchased on fizz.ca is unlocked. You are solely responsible for the security and privacy maintenance of your phone. Adding a passcode for example to protect your phone from unauthorized use is good practice. If you are new to Fizz mobile services Welcome! Activating your Fizz SIM card with the plan of your dreams is the first thing to do. Visit fizz.ca/activation and follow the on-screen steps. If anything is unclear, check out our activation FAQ . If you already have an active Fizz mobile plan If your new phone is replacing one with an active Fizz mobile plan, follow these steps: Pop out the phone tray of your old phone, and retrieve your Fizz SIM card. Place it into the tray of your new phone.* Restart your phone. Your phone will authenticate to the Fizz mobile network, and work with your existing mobile plan. Remember, the content from your old phone will not be imported with the SIM card swap. This includes your contacts, your Google or Apple ID account, old text messages, and the various apps you downloaded over time. Your Fizz SIM card is too small for your new phone? Use the support it came in to adjust its size to a larger one. If you don’t have that plastic support anymore, you’ll have to order a new SIM card . Before we say our farewells, let's check a few things so we make sure Fizz is working for you, and your wallet. Are your My Rewards upgrades activated on your Home Internet plan? How do I fix a payment issue?
With Fizz, you pay for your plan each month via automatic pre-authorized payments planned 72 hours before the start of your billing cycle. Example. Your payment cycle ends on the 5th of every month. The automatic payment of your plan therefore takes place on the 3rd of the month, and your new cycle starts on the 6th. If a payment fails, you’ll receive automatic reminders that will tell you what you need to do along with the deadline that applies, to pay for your plan yourself to avoid it from being suspended or even cancelled. Please note that Fizz is a prepaid service, and the payment date is fixed and cannot be changed. Additionally, no payment arrangements can be made. Please also note that the total amount of your bill must be paid in a single transaction — it cannot be split between multiple credit cards. My credit card is expired. You must update your payment method at least 72 hours before the end of your payment cycle to make sure your account is updated in time for your next payment. Before removing the card currently associated with your account, you’ll need to add a new one first. My Settings > Payment Methods > Add a new payment method Once your payment method has been updated in your Fizz account, you must associate it to each plan you want to pay with that card. That is not done automatically. My Plans > Manage Plan > Payment Method My monthly payment failed. An email and a text will be sent to you to notify you of the payment failure. I’m moving. How do I change my address for my Home Internet service?
Moving your Home Internet plan is done directly from your account. Submit your request under My plans > Manage plan > Moving my service. Word of the wise, don’t forget to pack your Fizz Wi-Fi modem and bring it with you on your moving day! Need to change your Home Internet plan? No worries, but plan to do so before or after your move. You cannot modify your Home Internet plan during your move. Date coordination Chances are the date you choose to deactivate your Home Internet service at your current address will differ from the installation date you select for your new digs. If that’s your case, no worries. Your plan will be simply put on pause, and you won't incur any fees during that time. Your payment cycle will shift and begin upon activation at your new address. If a technician’s visit is required, the time needed to get an appointment varies based on demand. So, make sure to plan ahead during the moving season in June and July. A plan (or the service) is not available As you fill out your move request for your Home Internet plan, we’ll obviously ask you to enter your new address. One of three things can happen: > All is fine. This is great, but chances are this is not your case if you’re reading this section of our FAQ. > The download speed you have now is not available at your new address. Perhaps you are moving from an area with high bandwidth to one with lower bandwidth, which impacts the download speeds available to you. Choose a new plan. On the activation date of your new plan at your new address, your old plan will be refunded to you on a prorated basis. > Fizz Home Internet is not

How do I know if I can use my own phone with Fizz?
You can, of course, buy a phone on fizz.ca, but you can also use your own phone with Fizz. To do so, however, your phone must be: Compatible with eSIMs if you wish to use an eSIM. VoLTE-compatible at Fizz* (required with the 3G network withdrawal that starts July 31, 2025) * If your phone is not VoLTE-compatible at Fizz, you can activate a mobile plan before July 31, 2025, but keep in mind that: Your phone must be compatible with our network and able to support its frequencies. You will need to replace your phone with a VoLTE-compatible model in anticipation of the 3G withdrawal that will start July 31, 2025. We strongly recommend that you take the necessary steps now to avoid any inconveniences once the 3G network has been decommissioned, such as the inability to make calls and contact 911. Good to know: smartwatches are not supported at this time. If you wish to use an eSIM Good to know: if your phone is not compatible with eSIMs, don’t worry. You can still get a physical SIM card online, or from one of our partner stores. What are the warranty details for a phone bought with Fizz?
Since Fizz does not manufacture its own mobile devices, the only warranty offered on new phones is the 12-month manufacturer warranty. Preloved phones are covered by Fizz for a period of 6 months. At the phone in question, click on Manage > My phone Warranty For an Apple product, refer to the Apple site for the details pertaining to their warranty. If you made a warranty claim and received a replacement phone, the warranty period for your old phone continues on this replacement phone. An issue? Start here.
