The amount of data your phone uses may vary depending on how you use it, which native installations are running on it, and which applications you have installed. Some applications, native or not, can use your mobile data in the background. For example, cloud-based apps such as Google Drive or Apple iCloud could be using your data to automatically backup your photos, videos, and documents. Some streaming music or video services can also download content in the background. Fizz provides you with handy tools to keep you informed about your mobile data usage: A usage metre (visible when you first sign in to your account) tells you how fast you are consuming your minutes and your data, compared to the amount available in your plan. Notifications at 75%, 90% and 100% of your usage. Note: You must log into your account and activate notifications at 75% and 90% usage. If you do not, you will only receive a notification when you are at 100% of your usage. You can also check your mobile data usage directly via your phone. The steps to follow to check your data usage can vary depending on the type of phone you have. The payment solution offered by Affirm on fizz.ca varies based on the value of the purchase you’re considering: Pay in 4 for small purchases: The amount of your purchase is equally split over 4 payments. Monthly instalments for large purchases: The amount of your purchase is spread over a period that varies between 12 and 24 months depending on the phone model and your eligibility. How Pay in 4 works. You’ll have four (4) automatic pre-authorized payments charged to your Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card : a first payment when you receive your purchase, and one payment every two weeks after that. How do I change my plan?
You can change your plan directly in your account on Fizz.ca. Changes will go live come your next payment cycle. Good to know: Keep in mind the freeze period during which your plan cannot be modified. Ideally, aim to submit your changes when there are at least six (6) days left in your current payment cycle. How can you know? Go in Your account > My plans. Look right under your monthly price and you will see the days remaining in your payment cycle. When unsubscribing from a plan, the freeze period does not apply. You can proceed at any time. To change your plan: Log in to your account on Fizz.ca and go under My plans > Manage plan > Change my plan. As you change your plan details with the online tool, you will see your new monthly fee in the box below. When you like what you see, save your changes. Important – Any change to your plan must be made in accordance with the plan change policy detailed on https://fizz.ca/en/plan-change-policy. Your new plan Your new plan will be live at the start of your next payment cycle . How do I use a PUK code to unblock my SIM card?
To unblock your SIM card right away, log into your Fizz account to reveal your PUK code ( My Plans > Manage > Unblock SIM card). Type the code that is revealed into your phone. If you entered 3 incorrect PIN codes and your phone displays “SIM card blocked” or “Enter PUK code”, your SIM card has been blocked to ensure your security. To unblock your SIM card, you must enter a PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code. Where to find your PUK code Log into your Fizz account and go to My Plans. Click on Manage and then Unblock SIM card. Click the slider to reveal your PUK code. Type this code into your phone to unblock your SIM. To simplify this process in the future, write down your PUK code and keep it somewhere safe or opt for the option to send it to you by email. After you unblock your SIM card After unlocking your SIM card with a PUK code, go to your phone settings to personalize your PIN code. Choose an easy-to-remember PIN — it will prevent you from accidentally blocking your SIM card again. How do I personalize my PIN? I’m moving. How do I change my address for my Home Internet service?
Moving your Home Internet plan is done directly from your account. Submit your request under My plans > Manage plan > Moving my service. Word of the wise, don’t forget to pack your Fizz Wi-Fi modem and bring it with you on your moving day! No need to activate it at your new address; everything will be done automatically thanks to your moving order. Need to change your Home Internet plan? No worries, but plan to do so before or after your move. You cannot modify your Home Internet plan during your move. Date coordination Chances are the date you choose to deactivate your Home Internet service at your current address will differ from the installation date you select for your new digs. If that’s your case, no worries. Your plan will be simply put on pause, and you won't incur any fees during that time. Your payment cycle will shift and begin upon activation at your new address. You don't need to do anything; this activation will be done automatically. If a technician’s visit is required, the time needed to get an appointment varies based on demand. So, make sure to plan ahead during the moving season in June and July. A plan (or the service) is not available As you fill out your move request for your Home Internet plan, we’ll obviously ask you to enter your new address.
