I’m travelling outside my coverage area. What are my options?
Making and receiving calls outside Canada and the United States is now available in select countries through our Voice Add-ons. Text messaging and data usage remain accessible. You can choose to get a block of voice or data known as a Travel Add-on. You can also change your plan's coverage if you're travelling in Canada or the United States. But you know what? Wi-Fi always remains your best friend ?. Remember to activate the roaming option of your phone, or else it'll block your usage. How much will it cost. To see the rates for the place you’re heading to, sign into your account and go under My plans > Manage plan > Travel . Enter your destination. The site will show the prices for the available Travel Add-ons. Since Fizz is a prepaid service, there are no surprise fees. You are limited by the amount of data and/or SMS in your travel Add-on. Choosing a Travel Add-On. A Travel Add-on is basically a block of data at a fixed price that allows you to use your Fizz service while travelling outside your coverage area (roaming). Once purchased, you can use it immediately, and it will remain available until the end of your next payment cycle. To buy a Travel Add-on, sign into your account and go under My plans > Manage plan > Travel . Enter your destination and choose the one that suits you. Your Travel Add-on will be activated as soon as you pay for it. Should you run out, all you’ll have to do is hunt down a Wi-Fi network so you can access your account and get another one. What is an Add-On and how do I buy one?
You are traveling outside your coverage area? In this case, you probably need a travel add-on. Details are here : I’m travelling outside my coverage area. What are my options? What is an Add-on? An Add-On is additional data, minutes, text or minutes for international calls that you can add onto your current monthly plan. An Add-on must be used when you are within your coverage area. Thus, the Add-on for international calling minutes will allow you to make a call from your coverage area to the country in question. If you leave on a trip abroad, you will not be able to use these minutes once you arrive at your destination. To add an extra to your mobile plan, use this link: My plans > Manage > The extras > Add-ons Add-Ons are useful if you’re running low on monthly data or minutes, or if you want to add a feature, such as international calling, that’s not part of your current monthly plan. Buy an Add-On when you need more data, minutes, text or minutes for international call coverage than your current monthly plan allows. Add-Ons take effect immediately. How long does it take to activate an Add-On? How long does it last? Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle. They are not subject to the 72-hour (3-day) freeze period. In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days. How do I transfer my current phone number to Fizz?

The most important thing to remember to transfer your phone number over to Fizz is that your plan with your current provider must still be active. Fizz will disconnect your old provider during the transfer process. Note that a number transfer cannot be done on a line that is already active with Fizz. In other words, if you already have a Fizz plan, porting a number to this plan is not possible; you need to create a new plan. Your phone number must be a mobile number. If it's associated with a landline or VOIP, it cannot be transferred over to Fizz. If you encounter an issue with any other type of number, please contact us using the chat bubble at the bottom right of this page so we can verify everything with you. If your number starts with an area code outside the Fizz subscription area , your number cannot be transferred. Important: the voice messages you saved when you were with your other provider will be lost and this even if you transfer your phone number over to Fizz. You need: Your account number. Check your most recent bill from your current provider. See account number formats. OR The IMEI of the active device with your old provider. Issues with the battery or charge of your phone
