How do I transfer my current phone number to Fizz?
Only an active number can be transferred, so do NOT cancel your current plan with your current provider. When you activate your Fizz SIM card, you'll indicate you wish to transfer your number. We'll need some info such as your number to transfer, the name of your current provider, as well as your phone’s IMEI#. Quick tip: dial *#06# on your phone to get your 15-digit IMEI number. We will disconnect your current provider when you activate your Fizz SIM card.
What are my coverage options?
When you create your mobile plan, you can choose between Quebec (includes the Ottawa region), Canada and Canada/U.S. coverage. Your coverage area is where you can use your Fizz plan without paying roaming fees. With the Canada coverage for instance, you can make or receive calls anywhere in the country. But with a Quebec coverage, a call made or received from Vancouver for example would not be included in your plan, and you’d have to buy a Travel Add-on.
Is my phone compatible with the Fizz network?
First and foremost, your phone must be unlocked to use it with the Fizz network. As for compatibility, The majority of Android phones sold in North America in the last five (5) years are compatible with Fizz. On the Apple side, only the iPhone 5s, or more recent, are compatible with the Fizz mobile network. Then, check that your phone has the necessary hardware components to support the Fizz network frequencies.
What if I run out of data before the end of my payment cycle?
First, let us reassure you that we'll alert you if you're coming close to running out. And if you do run out, your data will be put on pause and you’ll have the choice to buy an Add-on, pay as you go with your Fizz Wallet or go happy Wi-Fi hunting.
Can I change my plan after I subscribe?
With Fizz, you can change your plan every month if you want so you only pay for what you need. This way, you’re not stuck with a plan that doesn’t fit.
