The steps to prepare your phone for a return are crucial to protect your privacy, but also to allow the technicians to easily access your phone to inspect it. If we can’t access your phone to inspect it, you will be charged the administrative fee of $75 (plus applicable taxes), and your phone will then be returned to you. Download and install the latest software update For any warranty claim, the first mandatory step is to download and install the latest software update of the operating system. Check your phone afterwards. The download might actually resolve your issue. The process of updating your phone’s software can vary from one phone model to another. Here are two examples: Android: Settings → Software update → Manually download updates iPhone: Settings → General → Software update Save your personal data Save your personal data (pics, videos, texts, contacts, etc.) on an external source. You won’t be able to retrieve them afterwards. Fizz does not save your personal data, and offers no guarantee in this respect. You can download the content of your phone via iCloud, your Google account, your Samsung account or other. Check the procedure directly on the site of these platforms. This process may vary, depending on the type of phone. Here are two examples: Android: Settings → Cloud and accounts → Backup and restore → Back up data iPhone: Settings → iCloud → Backup Unlock the home screen You must disable the lock function for your phone’s home screen so technicians can easily access it to inspect it. This process may vary, depending on the type of phone. Here are two examples: Android: Settings (You can find Settings by tapping the cog icon) → Security → Screen lock → Enter your passcode to confirm you are you → None iPhone
FAQ
How do I know if I have a Rollover?
To find out if you have a Rollover: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Under the plan you wish to view (if you have more than one) click on Usage. This will open the Usage screen, which lists all your gifts, Add-Ons, Rollovers, etc. The blue arrow will tell you which data bucket you are currently using. On the right hand side you can see how many days are left for your Rollover. If I buy an Add-On and don’t use all of it by the end of the month, will it roll over? No. Only your basic plan data can be rolled over. If you buy an Add-On, it will expire at the end of your next payment cycle. If I receive a data gift and don’t use all of it by the end of the month, will it roll over? No. Only your basic plan data can be rolled over. If you are gifted data during the month, it will expire at the end of your next payment cycle. For example, say I receive gifted data on May 15, but my payment cycle ends on May 27. That gifted data will therefore be valid up until the end of my next payment cycle on June 27th. Do I keep my rolled-over data if I change my plan? Yes. Regardless of how you decide to change your plan, you keep your rolled-over data. In fact, if you change your coverage, your rolled-over data will be applied to your new coverage. For example, if you switch from a Quebec plan to a Canada-US plan, your unused, rolled-over and gifted data will be valid for this new plan. Read more : What is a Rollover and how does it work?

What’s the My Rewards program?
The My Rewards program allows you to earn rewards for every dollar you spend with us. You also move along in the program when you participate in the Community Hub, gift your mobile data to another Fizz member, refer a friend, etc. In fact, the longer you stay with Fizz, the more you’ll be dazzled with the rewards we have in store for you throughout your Fizz journey My Rewards How do I subscribe? You are automatically subscribed to My Rewards the minute you create an account on fizz.ca. Don’t have an active plan yet? No worries. You can still start earning points in the program by participating in the Community Hub for example. You’ll need an active Fizz plan, however, to use any reward you receive. How does My Rewards work? Throughout your Fizz journey, you collect points for actions you complete: answer a question in the Community Hub, refer friends, add funds to your wallet… you get the point (no pun intended). Accumulating points allows you to progress from level to level. Good to know: When you change your plan, you don't lose your rewards. For example, the My Rewards upgrade for dollars off the price of your plan, or the one for free mobile data every month will continue to apply to your new plan. FAQ
What are the Fizz network settings (APN)?
An Access Point Name (APN) has the network settings your phone needs to connect to Fizz. The APN must be properly configured so your phone can be “introduced” to the Fizz network. Once your APN is configured, you’ll have access to your mobile data and multimedia messaging (MMS). Even with a poorly configured APN, you’ll be able to make and receive calls and texts. You will also have internet access when connected to a Wi-Fi network. Removing the SIM card from a phone with properly configured network settings (APN) could automatically reset the previous settings. If this happens, you’ll need to reconfigure the Fizz network settings. Installing network settings (Android) By inserting your SIM card in your phone, you’ll receive two notifications to configure the network settings. Install these two configurations. If a PIN code is required, enter 1234. Wait three minutes and completely restart (power cycle) your phone. Resend the network parameters (APN) to your phone (Android) Log into your Fizz account and follow this path: My plans → Manage plan → Advanced parameters → Fizz network parameters → Resend me the notifications You’ll receive two (2) notifications directly on your phone: one to configure mobile data and the other to configure multimedia messaging (MMS). Install these two (2) configurations. If a PIN code is required, enter 1234. If you inserted your SIM card into a device unknown to the Fizz mobile network, chances are you received a SMS inviting you to follow the above instructions. Manually installing network settings (Android) Steps to follow for configuring the APN can vary from one phone to another. Here's an example: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names → APN Fizz APN settings are: APN: mobile.bm MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm MMS port: 80 APN type: default, mms, supl If your

Universal call blocking
Please note that starting November 4, 2019, the entire Canadian telecom industry will gradually implement universal call blocking in an attempt to prevent telephone fraud. As a member of this industry, Fizz will be activating this feature for all its mobile service members. Starting this November 4th, non-compliant numbers could therefore be blocked. What is universal call blocking? Universal call blocking is an automated feature, based on well-defined rules. The feature is designed to block calls that do not comply with international numbering plan standards to counter unwanted calls and telephone fraud. Why is Fizz implementing this feature? Actually, starting November 4, 2019, the entire Canadian telecom industry (which Fizz is a part of) will be gradually implementing universal call blocking to counter unwanted calls and support the fight against telephone fraud. As a mobile phone service subscriber, you get all kinds of calls. The majority of them are legitimate; they come from family or friends. Others come from automated systems; even though some are honest calls (automated appointment reminders, for instance), a large number of them are unwanted and might actually be fraud related. That’s why Fizz, as a member of the Canadian telecom industry, will be implementing this feature for its members. Do I need to pay for universal call blocking? No, you won’t incur any additional charges for this feature. It’ll be gradually implemented nationwide by the Canadian telecom industry members, starting November 4, 2019. How does this feature work? What kind of numbers will be blocked, and under which circumstances? Universal call blocking is designed to automatically block any call it receives that does not comply with international numbering plan standards, which states that a telephone number cannot have more than 15 digits. As for the North American plan, it stipulates that a North American number
