What do I need to know before returning my phone?
Due to the Canada Post strike, please ignore the return instructions you receive in your Fizz account and follow these special instructions instead. Any return request must be submitted online via your Fizz account under My phones > Manage my phone > Return my phone. The IMEI of the phone that is returned must match the IMEI associated with the return request you submit online. If you just bought your phone and are unhappy with it, you may return it under the 15-day return policy . You must submit your request online within 15 days of the date on which you received your phone. Once that delay has expired, the return policy will be expired. See the details of the 15-day return policy If you’re having an issue with your phone, you can make a warranty claim . Make sure the issue is covered by the warranty. Check warranty details before submitting your request. Conditions for a return The conditions detailed below apply to the 15-day return policy, as well as to any warranty claim. Returns for operating software issues or damage following misuse will not be accepted. When you fill out your online return request, you will be asked to certify and confirm each of these return conditions by checking a box: - The phone hasn’t been damaged by water in any way. See the common causes - The phone has no physical damage, and does not show any sign from being dropped. 15-day return Warranty claim The phone is like new. There is no scratch or any physical damage to the case, screen, buttons or connectors, camera lens and/or flash. How can I change the SIM associated with my mobile plan?
The SIM card (subscriber identification module) is a chip with information that identifies you and connects your phone to the Fizz mobile network. It can be a physical SIM card or an eSIM (if your phone is compatible of course). If you are looking to activate a SIM card for a new plan, and not an existing plan that is already active in your account, head this way > https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activate If you lose or break your SIM, your mobile plan will no longer work. And since your SIM is associated with your plan, it’s important to follow the right steps to replace it. Same goes if you lose your phone. You must change your SIM and associate a new one with your mobile plan. Good to know: You can switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM, or from an eSIM to a physical SIM card. Important: Once your new SIM is activated, the old one that is currently associated with your plan will be automatically deactivated. If you still have an old VoLTE SIM card that was deactivated, you can use it. How to replace a Fizz SIM If you need to replace your Fizz SIM card for a VoLTE SIM card, but haven’t received it in the mail yet, please contact us. One of our agents will confirm your address with you and can send you a new one, free of charge. Install and activate an eSIM
A SIM is what identifies you and connects your phone (whether you buy one on fizz.ca or bring your own) to the Fizz mobile network. An eSIM is basically a virtual SIM card. Important: Before ordering an eSIM card, make sure your device is compatible. Not all phones support eSIM technology, and this verification must be done by you. We do not have a complete list of supported devices. To check if your phone is compatible with eSIM technology, dial * #06#. If an EID code appears, your device should be compatible Important: don’t delete your eSIM. Never delete an active or about to be activated eSIM, including the one from your previous provider if you are transferring your number to Fizz. Too late? A few steps are now required to save the situation. See the steps If you get an error message after your eSIM is installed in your phone: The reason -> your phone is trying to connect to the Fizz network, but the transfer of your number hasn’t started. Browsing the internet is very slow on my mobile phone. How do I fix it ?

Learn about accessing our partner network Signal bars and Wi-Fi: understanding your connection icons The mobile signal bars ? indicate the strength of your cellular network. The more bars you see, the stronger your signal. However, you can still have excellent reception even without the maximum number of bars. The number of signal bars is just a simplified indicator—each phone manufacturer interprets this measurement a little differently. For example, one phone might display three bars at –90 dBm, while another would show four for the same signal The Wi-Fi icon (represented by several overlapping arcs) shows the strength of your wireless Internet connection. Each arc is simply a visual estimate of the wireless signal strength your device receives. Once again, how these arcs appear depends on the manufacturer and operating system. In short: even if your device doesn’t show all the “waves” of the Wi-Fi symbol, you can still enjoy a stable and fast connection. These arcs are a convenient visual cue, but not an absolute measure of performance. Troubleshooting Is the Wi-Fi function turned off? Make sure you have deactivated WiFi on your phone. How do I subscribe to Fizz Home Internet?
Subscribing to Fizz Home Internet is a breeze, but here are a few pointers. Your home address Whether it’s your house, cottage or apartment, we need the address where you would like to have our Home Internet services installed. This step is crucial to check if the Fizz Home Internet service is available at your place. As you start to type in your address, the field will autofill with address proposals. Make sure you pick the right one, all the way down to your apartment number if applicable. If you placed an order with an incorrect address, the order must be cancelled and placed again with the correct address. Know that Fizz services unfortunately cannot be used for commercial purposes or in the operation of a business. Our Internet service is not available at your address? It is for many residential addresses in Quebec and in Clarence-Rockland (ON) region and, over time, may be for more and more postal codes.
