The withdrawal of the 3G network will start July 31, 2025, for Fizz and several of its partners. All calls made with your Fizz mobile plan will then go through the LTE network thanks to VoLTE technology. But to do so, you need to: Use a VoLTE-compatible SIM card or an eSIM (if your phone allows it). Use a phone that is VoLTE-compatible at Fizz. Activate the VoLTE function on your phone. IMPORTANT: If any of these criteria is not met, none of your c alls (including 911 calls) will go through when the 3G network is gone. To learn more about the withdrawal of the 3G network in Canada, visit the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) website, and the Canadian Telecommunications Association website. What is VoLTE VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE, which basically means a phone call will use the LTE network. The opportunity to use the LTE network for your calls means: Improved sound quality for your calls. Faster routing of your calls, meaning the delay for the phone to ring at the other end will be shorter. Reduced interruptions when you go from the Fizz network to a partner network. Criteria #1: a VoLTE-compatible SIM card Your SIM connects your phone to the Fizz LTE network. If it’s not VoLTE (voice over LTE) compatible, no calls (including 911 calls) will be possible with the plan associated with this SIM card when the 3G network is gone. A VoLTE-compatible SIM card shows a red lightning bolt icon: If you need to change your SIM card and you still haven't received a SIM card in the mail, please contact us so one of our agents can confirm your address so we can send you one free of charge. How can I put my plan on pause?
Going on vacation, moving or simply taking a break? Put your Home Internet plan on pause with just a few clicks. Good to know: A mobile plan cannot be put on pause. The best solution if you don’t want to lose your rewards in our loyalty program is to adjust your plan to its strict minimum (by only keeping the provincial coverage for instance) for the time being. How to change my mobile plan Putting your Internet plan on pause Putting your Internet plan on pause is done directly in your Fizz account > My plans > Manage plan > Pause my plan. Price per pause: $10 (plus applicable taxes) Your Home Internet plan can be put on pause up to two (2) times every 12 months per calendar year, for a maximum of six (6) months each time. The first time you put on your plan on pause will therefore determine the dates of your 12-month period. Let's illustrate this with an example. If you pause your plan on February 3, 2025, your plan must be reactivated no later than 6 months later, on or before August 3. You will then be left with one (1) pause available until February 2nd of the following year. Keeping with that example, say you wish to schedule your second pause to start December 12, 2025. Because your 12 months end February 2nd, 2026, that second pause will end on that date even if its length will be less than 6 months. If you wish to keep your plan on pause beyond that date, you’ll need to submit a new pause to start February 3, 2026. You will then be left with one (1) pause until February 2nd, 2027. Good to know: You keep your Fizz Wi-Fi modem. You’ll need it when your

Internet Traffic Management Policy
Any access of 100 Mbps or more is subject to the traffic management policy. Last update: MARCH 2023 Does Fizz apply Internet traffic management measures? Yes, Fizz applies traffic management measures, but only from the user to the Internet (upload), and fo r accesses of 100 Mbps or more (hereinafter called THE ACCESSES*). *Certain conditions (see below). Why does Fizz use Internet traffic management measures? Fizz wants to offer the best online experience to its members. Because the upload speed (from the user to the Internet) of the ACCESSES* is high, Fizz uses traffic management measures to prevent some modems from slowing down the overall service, even momentarily. What kind of traffic is targeted? Fizz does not target any particular type of traffic, nor any specific applications or protocols such as peer-to-peer file sharing. Only data uploads (from the user to the Internet) made with the ACCESSES * access are subject to traffic management. Download traffic (from the Internet to the user) is not managed. When and how does Fizz manage traffic on its network? Every 15 minutes, a system checks the traffic rate of each upstream channel (typically, one upstream channel serves a few dozen modems). If the traffic rate exceeds the threshold above which congestion occurs, the syste m identifies the modems which use these ACCESSES* in that channel that are uploading a large amount of data. The upload capacity of these modems is then given a low-priority rating. Based on the severity and time during which the congestion persists, the upload speed of these modems may then be slowed down. When the amount of data uploaded by the modems is diminished or the traffic on that channel reverts to a normal rate for which congestion is no longer an issue, the upload capacity prioritization will go back
FAQ
How do I know if I have a Rollover?
To find out if you have a Rollover: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Under the plan you wish to view (if you have more than one) click on Usage. This will open the Usage screen, which lists all your gifts, Add-Ons, Rollovers, etc. The blue arrow will tell you which data bucket you are currently using. On the right hand side you can see how many days are left for your Rollover. If I buy an Add-On and don’t use all of it by the end of the month, will it roll over? No. Only your basic plan data can be rolled over. If you buy an Add-On, it will expire at the end of your next payment cycle. If I receive a data gift and don’t use all of it by the end of the month, will it roll over? No. Only your basic plan data can be rolled over. If you are gifted data during the month, it will expire at the end of your next payment cycle. For example, say I receive gifted data on May 15, but my payment cycle ends on May 27. That gifted data will therefore be valid up until the end of my next payment cycle on June 27th. Do I keep my rolled-over data if I change my plan? Yes. Regardless of how you decide to change your plan, you keep your rolled-over data. In fact, if you change your coverage, your rolled-over data will be applied to your new coverage. For example, if you switch from a Quebec plan to a Canada-US plan, your unused, rolled-over and gifted data will be valid for this new plan. Read more : What is a Rollover and how does it work?
