How Fizz TV works Fizz TV delivers television by IPTV which means your TV channels are delivered over your Fizz Home Internet connection. There is no terminal. Fizz TV works through a multiplatform app which you download on a compatible device. You can then watch your content on that device or cast it onto your smart TV. With your Fizz Internet subscription, your TV plan allows up to five (5) simultaneous viewings across your house and devices. An error message will appear if you try to start a 6th simultaneous viewing. Guide The guide function will display the programs scheduled for different channels. Select Guide from the main menu to access the Guide at any time. Explore live content, previously aired content, and future programming through the Guide. Guide filter preferences can be configured to view only the content you want in your Guide. There are four (4) primary options available for filtering Guide content: All channels: All channels offered on Fizz TV, including those you are not currently subscribed to. Subscribed channels (default): The channels included in your Fizz TV plan. My TV: The channels you selected as your favourites. Lookback channels: All channels available in your plan with the lookback functionality. A genre filter (Sports, News, etc.) can be layered over these filters. Good to know My TV: You may select your favourite channels for quick access. Favourite channels can be set to appear exclusively in the Guide, or can be accessed at any time from My favourites. Lookback TV: You may scroll back in the Guide to access previously aired programming on a large number of channels up to 72 hours after the original airing (channel dependent). Starter Kit The box contains the following items: The Wi-Fi modem (CODA-4680 or CODA-5610Q for the 500 Mbps plan and above) A coaxial cable A power cord An ethernet cable The ethernet cable is included in the box with your modem, but it is not required to set up your Wi-Fi network. Connect the coaxial cable The coaxial cable must be properly screwed in on both ends. Connect the power cord The power cord must be properly connected to the Wi-Fi modem and wall outlet (avoid using a power strip). IMPORTANT: Once it’s plugged in, your Wi-Fi modem will make its first system update, and may need to reboot after roughly 15 minutes. Make sure your modem is ready A series of lights will appear on your modem. Make sure they match this image. Write down your modem’s info Locate the network name (Default Wi-Fi Network) and password (Default Key) printed on the back of your Wi-Fi modem: CODA-4680 model: look at the back. CODA-5610Q model: look under. Make sure not to confuse similar characters such as O and 0, as well as I and 1. Before proceeding to the next step, check the available networks on a Wi-Fi-enabled device like a mobile phone and check that the FIZZ network name as indicated on your modem appears in the list of available networks. This may take a few minutes. Configure your modem Select the name of your Wi-Fi network from the list of networks available to your Wi-Fi enabled device and enter the password. Your Web browser will open*. You will be redirected to the "Easy Connect" interface. Follow the on-screen steps. *You may need to open your Web browser manually. To change the name of your network: Open your browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. Use these

New Fizz account. If you’re new to Fizz and recently created your account, the confirmation of your email address is key. This step must be completed within 24 hours by clicking on the link in the validation email we sent you. If the 24-hour delay has passed, no worries. By clicking on the link in the validation email, you will be redirected to a window from which you can request a new link. Or you can go on fizz.ca and sign in. The system will automatically send you a new link to finalize the creation of your account. Reset or change your password. Everyone can forget. And if that’s your case, no worries. There’s a magic link on the login page that allows you to change your password. When asked, enter the email address associated with your Fizz account. You’ll then receive an email from us with a link to reset your password. Beware, you’ll have 30 minutes to take action. After that, the link won’t work, and you’ll have to start over. If you do end up doing this a few times, use the link in the most recent email. The other, previous links won’t work. Good to know: After changing your password, you may need to clear the cache of your Internet browser to delete your history and your cookies. Account is locked. If your account is locked and attempts to reset your password are not working, contact us by clicking on the chat bubble at the bottom right .
