You can change your plan directly in your account on Fizz.ca. Changes will go live come your next payment cycle. Good to know: Keep in mind the freeze period during which your plan cannot be modified. Ideally, aim to submit your changes when there are at least six (6) days left in your current payment cycle. How can you know? Go in Your account > My plans. Look right under your monthly price and you will see the days remaining in your payment cycle. To change your plan: Log in to your account on Fizz.ca and go under My plans > Manage plan > Change my plan. As you change your plan details with the online tool, you will see your new monthly fee in the box below. When you like what you see, save your changes. Important – Any change to your plan must be made in accordance with the plan change policy detailed on https://fizz.ca/en/plan-change-policy. Your new plan Your new plan will be live at the start of your next payment cycle . For a Home Internet plan: When your new plan goes live on the first day of your new payment cycle, restart your Wi-Fi modem. See how For a mobile plan: If you need features such as data, minutes, texts or minutes for international calls immediately before your new plan goes live, buy an Add-On or use your Fizz Wallet to pay as you go. Also, know that your rolled-over data will match your new coverage. For example, if you switch from a Canada to a Canada-U.S. plan, you will be able to use your rollover data in the Canada-U.S. zone. Adding a plan to your existing account Yes, Fizz allows you to add and manage multiple plans on your account. This is ideal if you want to pay for multiple plans for friends or family, or if you need two separate plans for yourself. How to add a plan to your account: Go to Overview in your Fizz account. Click on Add a plan. On the next screen, click on Order a new SIM card (if you don’t already have one). Order and pay for a SIM card. When your SIM card arrives, Go to Activate my SIM Card. Depending on your privacy settings inside the Fizz community, other members may (or may not) be able to search for you, add you as a contact, and gift you data. When a Fizz member searches for another member inside the community, they will see your first name and phone number. They will never see your full name, email address or other identifying information. How to change your Fizz privacy settings: Go to My Settings in your Fizz account. Scroll to Settings. Click on Privacy. Here you can select one of three privacy options: Full Fizz Experience: By default, other users can search for you, add you as a contact and send you gifts. Private: You can receive gifts from everyone. You cannot be searched or added as a contact. Incognito: You do not accept gifts and cannot be added as a contact. You are incognito and cannot be found via search.
How Fizz TV works Fizz TV delivers television by IPTV which means your TV channels are delivered over your Fizz Home Internet connection. There is no terminal. Fizz TV works through a multiplatform app which you download on a compatible device. You can then watch your content on that device or cast it onto your smart TV. With your Fizz Internet subscription, your TV plan allows up to five (5) simultaneous viewings across your house and devices. An error message will appear if you try to start a 6th simultaneous viewing. Guide The guide function will display the programs scheduled for different channels. Select Guide from the main menu to access the Guide at any time. Explore live content, previously aired content, and future programming through the Guide. Guide filter preferences can be configured to view only the content you want in your Guide. There are four (4) primary options available for filtering Guide content: All channels: All channels offered on Fizz TV, including those you are not currently subscribed to. Subscribed channels (default): The channels included in your Fizz TV plan. My TV: The channels you selected as your favourites. Lookback channels: All channels available in your plan with the lookback functionality. A genre filter (Sports, News, etc.) can be layered over these filters. Good to know My TV: You may select your favourite channels for quick access. Favourite channels can be set to appear exclusively in the Guide, or can be accessed at any time from My favourites. Lookback TV: You may scroll back in the Guide to access previously aired programming on a large number of channels up to 72 hours after the original airing (channel dependent). To close an account following the death of a Fizz member contact our Customer Service team: simply click on the chat bubble located in the lower right-hand corner. The deceased customer’s account will be closed at the end of the current payment cycle, unless there has been a specific request to do otherwise.
Your unused data transfers to the next month. No waste. At the end of the month, your unused mobile data automatically rolls over so you can use it the next month. Rolled over mobile data is valid over the following two months. Your mobile plan will always use the oldest data first (thus, your rolled over data). Sources of interference include: Nearby Wi-Fi networks Surveillance cameras Baby monitors Microwave ovens Etc. Obstacles to Wi-Fi waves include: Construction materials (concrete, aluminum, etc.) Heated flooring Mirrors Windows Etc. Recommendation: If you are unable to change your environment to limit sources of Wi-Fi signal attenuation, it would be better to use a network cable (RJ45). A cable is included in the original box of your Fizz Wi-Fi modem. Restart your Wi-Fi modem Unplug the power cable on your Wi-Fi modem. Make sure all the lights on the modem are off once you have unplugged it. Wait ten (10) seconds. Plug your modem back into the electrical outlet. Expect a three (3) minute delay to allow your devices to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. Recommendation: It is more effective to restart your Wi-Fi modem by unplugging its power cable instead of pressing its power button. Test each of the two (2) frequency bands of your Wi-Fi modem
