Some features to change a TV plan are still in development. You can change the channels in your current plan or add some to switch to a bigger plan. Please note that you cannot make any changes to your TV plan and/or modify your channels during the freeze period (4-5 days before the end of your current billing cycle). Changing your channels You may change your channels at any time, without changing your monthly TV plan: In your Fizz account, go under My plans > Manage plan > Change my plan. Select your channels. Make sure the total number of channels in your new selection is the same as in your current selection. Submit your changes. Log out and back in your Fizz TV app, and you’ll have access to your new channels instantly. Good to know: any new channel you select for your plan must be kept for at least 30 days. Adding channels to your plan Please note that you cannot change your TV plan during the freeze period (4.5 days before the end of your current billing cycle). You may add channels to your TV plan at any time: In your Fizz account, go under My plans > Manage plan > Change my plan. Add the new channels you want. Submit your changes. A recap of your order and your new services agreement will be sent to you by email. Log out and back in your Fizz TV app, and you’ll have access to your new channels instantly. Remember, any new channel you select for your plan must be kept for at least 30 days. How do I view my usage?
Login to your account any time to see how much data, minutes and text messages you have used during the current payment cycle for any plans that are on your account. View your current data usage and remaining data in your plan : Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Scroll to see a usage summary for each Plan associated with your Account. Click on ' Usage' to see more informations To consult your complete usage history included in your monthly plan (Data, Calls, Text): Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Into 'Manage Plan' menu Click on ' Data usage report' You can view your usage of minutes, texts and data. What is an unlocked phone?
An unlocked phone is one that is not linked to any specific cellular network. For example, when you buy your phone from a mobile provider, you will only be able to use it with that carrier until you unlock it. Legislation now allows all Canadians to unlock their phones, regardless of the original carrier. Unlocking your phone means you are able to use it with any carrier, provided that your phone is compatible with its network and bands. If you bought your phone from a Canadian provider after December 1, 2017, it is unlocked by default. When your phone is unlocked, you can insert a SIM card from any mobile provider to use your phone on their network. How can I see if my phone is locked Insert your Fizz SIM card (activated or not activated) into your phone. When your card is inserted: Your phone is unlocked if it connects to the network or asks you for a PIN code to unlock the SIM card. Your phone is locked if it asks you for a SIM unlock code. Follow the instructions below to unlock it How to unlock my phone Because Fizz is not the company that locked your phone, we cannot unlock it. Only the provider who sold you your phone can unlock it for you. Make sure you have your phone’s IMEI and insert your Fizz SIM card in your phone. Then contact this provider’s customer service team to ask for an unlock code and instructions for unlocking your phone. Know that some websites specialize in unlocking phones and will offer this service for a fee. Good to know: The IMEI is your phone’s ‘identity card’. It allows you to obtain your unlock code. I’m at risk of depleting my monthly plan. What can I do?
Reading your Usage Meter When you log into your account, the first thing you will see is a Usage Meter, which tells you how quickly you are using up the data left in your plan. If the metre is: Green: You’re in great shape and will likely make it through your payment cycle without needing an Add-On, plan change or Pay as you Go. Yellow: You’re going through data or minutes more quickly than expected. Use data or minutes more carefully until the end of your cycle or you may run out. Red: You’re in danger of running out of data or minutes before your payment cycle ends. To make sure you don’t run out, you may want to change your plan, buy an Add-On or add money to your Wallet to Pay as You Go. Gray: Your plan is paused. Plans can be paused for several reasons: You ran out of data or minutes: Buy an Add-On or Add funds to your Wallet You are behind on a payment: Pay any outstanding balances on your account You paused the plan yourself (lost or stolen): Reopen your plan Your account been impacted by fraudulent activity: Contact the Fizz fraud team What to do if your plan is running out of data or minutes Buy an Add-On An Add-On is additional usage — it could be data, minutes & text or minutes for international calls — that you can use right away. I can’t receive any calls on my phone. Why?
IMPORTANT: If your phone line was just recently activated on the Fizz network, see: Transferring your phone line If you’re having difficulty making phone calls (but can receive calls) see: My phone can’t make any calls. How do I fix it? Make sure you are in a zone that has adequate coverage. See our network coverage map If you are outside the coverage zone for the Fizz network, you can connect via our partner network. Learn about accessing our partner network Troubleshooting: Make sure you have minutes Make sure you have minutes left on your plan. If your plan does not contain any minutes, it will be impossible to receive calls on your phone. Several options are available to you in My Account under ''Manage'' to fix the situation: Buy an Add-on (you can then make and receive calls immediately) Add funds to your wallet (you can then make and receive calls immediately) Change your plan (any plan change will be effective starting at your next payment cycle) Log into your account Restart your phone Reboot (power cycle) your device by holding down the device’s start button for 10 seconds. After you reboot, your applications will reload. Your phone will then re-authenticate to the Fizz mobile network. This will allow your device to recover its authorization to access the network. Airplane mode or offline mode Make sure your phone is not in airplane mode or offline mode. If airplane mode or offline mode is activated on your phone, all connections such as calls, mobile data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth function, etc. will not work. The process of turning off airplane mode or offline mode will vary depending on your device.
