When are referral bonuses awarded? When your friend subscribes to Fizz using your referral code, both of your referral bonuses will be pending until your invited friend becomes a paying member. Same goes if you're the one who was invited: your bonus (and that of the Fizz member who invited you) will be pending. When the invited person completes their second monthly payment, they will receive their referral bonus. From there, the referral bonus of the Fizz member who made the invitation will be applied on their next payment. If you have multiple plans, your referral bonuses will be applied on the payment for your default main plan (the oldest plan in your account). You can change your settings under your profile to choose another plan. Once that change is done, any future referral bonus will be assigned to that other chosen plan. Learn more on how to invite friends, and get invited. What is the amount of the referral bonus? The amount of the referral bonus may vary depending on the provinces where the new member’s and the active member’s plans are activated, as well as the offer in effect at the time of subscription. For a mobile plan, the bonus is based on the date the invited person activates their SIM card. For a Home Internet plan, it’s based on the date the invited person subscribes and chooses their installation appointment. As an example: Someone in Quebec refers a person in Manitoba. Each will receive the referral bonus amount in their own region at the time of subscription. To find out the current reference bonus amount and how it works, please refer to these pages: Invite Friends with our Referral Program | Fizz Referral program: how do referral bonuses work? | Fizz How do I know when friends

How do I transfer my current phone number to Fizz?
Are you more the visual type? Our pretty video summarizes the content of this FAQ. Grab your coffee, sit back and watch here: Before you start. The most important thing to remember to transfer your phone number over to Fizz is that your plan with your current provider must still be active. Fizz will disconnect your old provider during the transfer process. Note that a number transfer cannot be done on a line that is already active with Fizz. In other words, if you already have a Fizz plan, porting a number to this plan is not possible; you need to create a new plan. Your phone number must be a mobile number. If it's associated with a landline or VOIP, it cannot be transferred over to Fizz. If you encounter an issue with any other type of number, please contact us using the chat bubble at the bottom right of this page so we can verify everything with you. If your number starts with an area code outside the Fizz subscription area , your number cannot be transferred. Important: the voice messages you saved when you were with your other provider will be lost and this even if you transfer your phone number over to Fizz. You need: Your account number. Check your most recent bill from your current provider. See account number formats. OR The IMEI of the active device with your old provider. To find it, dial *#06# on the phone you are using with your current provider. If the IMEI number is more than 15 digits long, only use the first 15. Last but not least, get yourself a Fizz SIM card. FAQ
What is the Discovery discount and how does it work?
The Discovery discount is not available to residents of Quebec. This discount ended on december 1st 2025. How does the Discovery discount work? A Discovery discount may apply to any new mobile plan activated in an eligible region. The discount is automatically applied each month on the current price of your plan, for six (6) months, starting from the day your SIM card is activated. If you change your plan during this period, the discount will follow your new plan for the remaining months. Once the period ends, the discount will be automatically removed and your plan will return to its current price. Can I combine the Discovery discount with other discounts? No. Only one recurring discount can be applied to a plan at a time. If you become eligible for a new discount (for example, a discount with the purchase of a phone), it will automatically replace the Discovery discount. The system always prioritizes the most advantageous discount. What happens if I buy a phone with a discount during my Discovery period? Your discount associated with the phone purchase will automatically replace the Discovery discount. Example: You have a Discovery discount of $10/month for 6 months. After one month, you buy a phone with a $5/month discount for 24 months. The 24-month discount will apply, since only one recurring discount can be active. Does the Discovery discount apply to multiple lines? Yes. If you add a second line (or more), the Discovery discount can also be applied to it. What happens if I unsubscribe? By unsubscribing from your mobile plan, you permanently lose your discount, even if there were remaining months left in the original term. In addition, no penalty will apply if you unsubscribe during this period.
