For your Home Internet service: You received your Fizz Wi-Fi modem by mail? Its activation date marks the beginning of your payment cycle. Don’t forget, Fizz will activate it remotely three (3) days after its delivery date, but you can activate it yourself in your account if you’re ready before then. Your modem was delivered by a technician? If you had an installation appointment with a technician, your modem will be activated then, and the date of your appointment therefore marks the beginning of your payment cycle. For your TV service: The payment cycle for your TV plan will be the same as the one for your Home Internet plan. But because your TV plan is activated as soon as you subscribe, you may need to pay a prorated amount on that day to bridge the gap until the next payment cycle of your Home Internet plan . Say you subscribe to Fizz TV on December 14, but your next payment cycle for your Home Internet plan only starts on December 30. The prorated amount you will pay on December 14 will therefore correspond to those 16 days. Come your next full payment cycle, December 30 in our example, the payments for both those plans (internet and TV) will be combined, and the payment cycle for your TV plan will be synchronized to the payment cycle of your Home Internet plan. With the Wi-Fi modem and the Fizz Wi-Fi app, you have a dynamic duo that puts you in control of your Wi-Fi network. A quick peek is all you need to see which devices are connected. From there, you can choose to block or pause access to some (or all) of them. You can also manage access to your Wi-Fi network by creating a Wi-Fi network for your guests, with its own schedule and password. The Fizz Wi-Fi app is available for free on: Google Play App Store Create your administrative password For this step, you'll need your Wi-Fi network password. If you can't remember it, you'll need to recover it. How to recover my Wi-Fi password To become the household’s Chief Wi-Fi Officer, you must first create your administrative password. Before you create your administrative password, manually disconnect all devices connected to the app to prevent them from retaining the administrative access. Open a web browser. Enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the web browser. Log in using the following credentials: Username: cusadmin Password: (enter the password you chose for your Wi-Fi network when you initially configured your modem). Head into the following section: Administration > Manage Enter your Wi-Fi network password to confirm your identity. Then, choose and enter an administrative password that you’ll keep for yourself. Once these steps are completed, you’ll have: A password for your Wi-Fi network. This password hasn’t changed. An administrative password only you have and can now use with the app to access the configuration options of your network. Manage access using the Fizz Wi-Fi app Open the app. Sign in using the same credentials as your Fizz account. Under the tab ‘My devices’, you’ll see all the devices connected to your network and you’ll be able to choose which ones

Log into your account to activate your Fizz plan Make sure you are in a zone that has adequate coverage. See our network coverage map If you are outside the Fizz network, consult this FAQ : I’m travelling outside my coverage zone. What are my roaming options? Troubleshooting: Are there minutes in your plan? Make sure your plan includes calling minutes. If your plan does not include any minutes, it will be impossible to use your phone to make and receive calls. You can adjust your plan any time to add minutes for local or long distance calls. This change to your plan will take effect at the start of your next payment cycle. You can also add minutes to your plan and use them immediately by buying a Call or Travel Add-On. Once your plan includes minutes or you purchase an Add-on, you'll be able to make and receive calls. Restart your phone Reboot (power cycle) your device by holding down the device’s start button for 10 seconds. After your applications load, your device will re-authenticate to the Fizz mobile network. This allows your device to recover its authorization to access the network. Reset Network Settings Rest assured, this operation does not delete personal data stored on your device. Follow the steps corresponding to your type of mobile phone. Android: Settings / System / Reset options / Reset cellular network settings (may vary depending on the manufacturer) iOS: Settings / General / Transfer or Reset iPhone / Reset / Reset Network Settings Note: Resetting network settings affects various types of connections (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VPN, cellular). Saved Wi-Fi networks and paired Bluetooth devices will be erased, as well as preferences associated with the mobile network and VPN settings. Remember to reconfigure this information after the reset. The delivery of your package, whether it is a SIM card, a phone or a Wi-Fi modem, is done by a third party. The delivery date indicated on your order summary is for reference only; Fizz cannot guarantee a specific delivery date. Important: The scheduled delivery date cannot be changed. What are the delivery times for a SIM card or a device? You should plan between 2 to 5 working days for the delivery of a SIM card. Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. If the delivery time includes a holiday, it will take an extra day for delivery. For a phone or Wi-Fi modem, you will receive an email with a tracking number to follow your package. To check the status of your delivery: Log into your account and go to My settings > Order history > View Details Click on the shipment number to view your delivery details on the courier's website. Good to know: for Planète Courrier, go to "click for more info" and enter the postal code of the delivery address to see the delivery details. An issue with your delivery? If your plan contains data, turn off your Wi-Fi option and then: Surf the web. Doesn’t work? Send and receive an image/picture by text (MMS). Doesn’t work? Once these tests are completed, you’ll be ready to roll with Fizz line and your brand new mobile plan.
