How to close a deceased customer’s account
To close an account following the death of a Fizz member contact our Customer Service team: simply click on the chat bubble located in the lower right-hand corner. The deceased customer’s account will be closed at the end of the current payment cycle, unless there has been a specific request to do otherwise.

How do I know if I can use my own phone with Fizz?
Fizz guarantees the proper functioning of all the devices it sells. However, you may use your own device, provided it meets the requirements outlined below. Good to know: smartwatches are not supported at this time. If you wish to use an eSIM Important: Check your device compatibility before ordering an eSIM card, as not all phones support eSIM technology. Good to know: if your phone is not compatible with eSIMs, don’t worry. You can still get a physical SIM card online, or from one of our partner stores. Here are a few ways to check if your phone is compatible with eSIM technology: Visit your device manufacturer’s website or contact their customer support. In your phone’s settings, go to the SIM section. If you see an option to Add an eSIM, your device is compatible. Dial *#06#: if an EID (Embedded Identity Document) appears, your device supports eSIM. If you’re using your own phone, is it VoLTE-compatible with Fizz? The withdrawal of the 3G network began on July 31, 2025, for Fizz and several of its partners. All calls made with your Fizz mobile plan will then go through the LTE network thanks to VoLTE technology. That’s why it’s so important for your phone to be VoLTE-compatible at Fizz or else none of your c alls (including 911 calls) will go through when the 3G network is gone. Referral program: how can I invite, and get invited?
Once you’re a member, we’ll assign you your very own unique referral code. You’ll then be able to earn additional referral bonuses by inviting friends to use your referral code to join Fizz. You therefore have the opportunity to get a referral bonus by getting invited to Fizz, but also afterwards by inviting friends to join. You must have an active Fizz plan to invite friends and receive referral bonuses. The amount of the referral bonus may vary depending on the provinces where the new member’s and the active member’s plans are activated, as well as the offer in effect at the time of subscription. For a mobile plan, the bonus is based on the date the invited person activates their SIM card. For a Home Internet plan, it’s based on the date the invited person subscribes and chooses their installation appointment. As an example: Someone in Quebec refers a person in Manitoba. Each will receive the referral bonus amount in their own region at the time of subscription. How can I get a SIM card?
Good to know: if your phone is compatible with eSIMS, our eSIM is free, and you can order, install and activate it all in one shot. See the steps for an eSIM here. If your phone is not compatible with eSIMs or if you prefer having a physical SIM card, it’s all good as well. The SIM card (subscriber identification module) will connect your phone to the Fizz mobile network so you can use the mobile plan you create. Keep in mind, however, that Fizz does not offer business services: SIM card (their order and their use) are limited to a residential use. Order online Just like anything else these days, a Fizz SIM card can be delivered right to your door. You even get to keep your slippers on. New to Fizz? Go to fizz.ca and create your mobile plan. Follow the on-screen steps and order your SIM card. Obviously, your address must be located within the Fizz subscrition area. You can also order a free SIM card when you buy a phone on fizz.ca. Just add it to your order. You're looking to add a new plan to your account? With Fizz, you can add and manage several plans in your account. You can therefore purchase several SIM cards at once, all of which will be delivered in your name. Look for the Add a mobile plan tile on the Overview page in your account and follow the steps.
