Why do I need a SIM card?
Good to know: if your phone is compatible with eSIMS, our eSIM is free, and you can order, install and activate it all in one shot. See the steps for an eSIM here. If your phone is not compatible with eSIMs or if you prefer having a physical SIM card, it’s all good as well. Your SIM card is what identifies you and connects your phone (whether you buy one on fizz.ca or bring your own) to the mighty fine Fizz mobile network. A VoLTE compatible SIM card is therefore required. This SIM card shows a red lightning bolt icon. A Fizz VoLTE SIM card: has no expiry date or limited lifetime; can be activated at any time; can be reused if the initial plan with which it was associated has been cancelled. When I add a user to my plan, what permissions can I adjust?
Because you have payment responsibility for users on your plan, it’s important to adjust the various permissions that will affect your monthly payment. Learn how to add a user or plan to your account Here are the user permissions you can adjust for each plan on your account: Add funds to their Wallet: The user can transfer funds from their payment method to their Wallet Wallet to Wallet money transfer: Transfer funds from one Wallet/plan to another Wallet/plan. Note that Wallet transfers can only occur between Wallets on the same account — in other words, a user on your plan can transfer funds to you, or to another user on your plan. Buy an Add-On: Buy an Add-On to their plan — for additional data, minutes for international calls or travel. How do I set up call forwarding?
Call forwarding allows you to forward your calls to another phone number of your choice. It’s useful when you’re on the move, or when you wish to be reached at a number other than your Fizz mobile phone number. Call forwarding and VoLTE. Call forwarding will work when you use a VoLTE certified phone, activated with a VoLTE compatible SIM card. If your phone is not VoLTE certified, manually setting up call forwarding will not work. Call forwarding for the voicemail option remains functional. The details about VoLTE Manually set up Call forwarding To use the Call forwarding function, make sure your plan includes minutes or that you have funds in your Wallet to pay-per-use. Only outgoing calls are possible when call forwarding is activated. Your phone will not ring and you will not receive any notifications (message, missed call, etc.). All incoming calls will be automatically forwarded to the programmed number until the call forwarding function is disabled. To activate call forwarding, dial: **21*(number you’re forwarding to)# You can add commas to indicate a pause while dialling. This is how you would add an extension, for example: **21*(number you’re forwarding to),,1234# All incoming calls will be redirected to the number you provide, without delay and without your phone ringing.
