The SIM card (subscriber identification module) is a chip with information that identifies you and connects your phone to the Fizz mobile network. If you lose or break your SIM, your mobile plan will no longer work. And since your SIM is associated with your plan, it’s important to follow the right steps to replace it. Same goes if you lose your phone. You must change your SIM and associate a new one with your mobile plan. Important: Once your new SIM is activated, the old one that is currently associated with your plan will be automatically deactivated. Go under My plans > Manage plan > Change SIM card to start. From there, you can order a new SIM or go straight to the activation step if you already have one. Select the plan for which you want to change the SIM and enter the activation code of your new SIM. 3) Complete the security validation step. At this stage, you will be asked to enter the details of a payment method associated with your mobile plan. The idea is to validate your identity as the owner of the plan. You will not be billed

What is an Add-on? An Add-On is additional data, minutes, text or minutes for international calls that you can add onto your current monthly plan. An Add-on must be used when you are within your coverage area. Thus, the Add-on for international calling minutes will allow you to make a call from your coverage area to the country in question. If you leave on a trip abroad, you will not be able to use these minutes once you arrive at your destination. To add an extra to your mobile plan, use this link: My plans > Manage > The extras > Add-ons Add-Ons are useful if you’re running low on monthly data or minutes, or if you want to add a feature, such as international calling, that’s not part of your current monthly plan. Buy an Add-On when you need more data, minutes, text or minutes for international call coverage than your current monthly plan allows. Add-Ons take effect immediately. How long does it take to activate an Add-On? How long does it last? Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle. They are not subject to the 108-hour (4.5-day) freeze period. In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days. The T911 service enables people who are living with an auditory or speech disability to communicate with the 911 emergency service using text messaging. Activate the T911 service in > My plans > Manage > Advanced parameters. If you have more than one plan on your account, the T911 service must be activated for each relevant plan. To use the T911 service you must: Have an active Fizz mobile account Have a phone compatible with the T911 service Activate the service in > My plans > Manage > Advanced parameters Reside where the T911 service is available It can take up to 5 business days to process your request for T911 service. If accepted, you will receive a text message confirming the activation of the service. If you have not received a text message after 5 working days, please notify us by chat or by using the Proof of disability form. Although the T911 service is currently available in only a limited number of regions in Canada, you can still sign up for it. The 911 emergency dispatcher will send you a text message. Continue the communication via text message. Do not hang up! Your call must be active for the full duration of the T911 text conversation. Getting a new number for your mobile plan is easily done via your Fizz account. Your plan must be active of course, and you’ll have a one-time fee to pay, which will be clearly should you decide to proceed. You’ll have two options: 1. Choose a random number from the selection presented to you. 2. Find a number by entering the last four (4) digits of your choice. Important: the voice messages you saved when you were with your other provider will be lost and this even if you transfer your phone number over to Fizz. You can change your number whenever you want, and as many times as you like, but you have to keep it for a minimum of 30 days. Choose a random number To change your phone number to a random new number: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. If there is more than one plan on your account, scroll to the plan you wish to change. Click on Manage and choose Change phone number. Here you will see your current phone number and two options: Select the first option: Get a new number (see on the image below). Choose a number from the list. (Click Get a new number list to refresh this list. Note that you can only refresh this list 5 times. When you refresh this list, you will not be able to go back to the previous list of numbers.)
