Starter Kit The box contains the following items: The Wi-Fi modem (CODA-4680 or CODA-5610Q * A coaxial cable A power cord An ethernet cable * CODA 5610Q is available with a new subscription to a 500 Mbps plan and above. If you are already subscribed and you increase the speed of your plan, it will not trigger a change to this modem. The ethernet cable is included in the box with your modem, but it is not required to set up your Wi-Fi network. Connect the coaxial cable The coaxial cable must be properly screwed in on both ends. Connect the power cord The power cord must be properly connected to the Wi-Fi modem and wall outlet (avoid using a power strip). IMPORTANT: Once it’s plugged in, your Wi-Fi modem will make its first system update, and may need to reboot after roughly 15 minutes. Make sure your modem is ready A series of lights will appear on your modem. Make sure they match this image. Write down your modem’s info Locate the network name (Default Wi-Fi Network) and password (Default Key) printed on the back of your Wi-Fi modem: CODA-4680 model: look at the back. CODA-5610Q model: look under. Make sure not to confuse similar characters such as O and 0, as well as I and 1. Before proceeding to the next step, check the available networks on a Wi-Fi-enabled device like a mobile phone and check that the FIZZ network name as indicated on your modem appears in the list of available networks. This may take a few minutes. Configure your modem Select the name of your Wi-Fi network from the list of networks available to your Wi-Fi enabled device and enter the password. Your Web browser will open*. You will be redirected to the "Easy Connect" interface

With the Wi-Fi modem and the Fizz Wi-Fi app, you have a dynamic duo that puts you in control of your Wi-Fi network. A quick peek is all you need to see which devices are connected. From there, you can choose to block or pause access to some (or all) of them. You can also manage access to your Wi-Fi network by creating a Wi-Fi network for your guests, with its own schedule and password. The Fizz Wi-Fi app is available for free on: Google Play App Store Create your administrative password For this step, you'll need your Wi-Fi network password. If you can't remember it, you'll need to recover it. How to recover my Wi-Fi password To become the household’s Chief Wi-Fi Officer, you must first create your administrative password. Before you create your administrative password, manually disconnect all devices connected to the app to prevent them from retaining the administrative access. Open a web browser. Enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the web browser. Log in using the following credentials: Username: cusadmin Password: (enter the password you chose for your Wi-Fi network when you initially configured your modem). Head into the following section: Administration > Manage Enter your Wi-Fi network password to confirm your identity. Then, choose and enter an administrative password that you’ll keep for yourself. Once these steps are completed, you’ll have: A password for your Wi-Fi network. This password hasn’t changed. An administrative password only you have and can now use with the app to access the configuration options of your network. Manage access using the Fizz Wi-Fi app Open the app. Sign in using the same credentials as your Fizz account. Under the tab ‘My devices’, you’ll see all the devices connected to your network and you’ll be able to choose which ones

You can switch the Fizz website from French to English using the FR (Français) / EN (English) button on the bottom of the page. If you're using your smartphone, the language button is in the top left menu. By default, you will see the Fizz website in the same language as your browser. To change the language of your notifications, texts and emails, adjust your account settings in My Account > My Profile. How to activate my modem If a technician came by to install your modem, then no need for you to activate your modem. The technician did it for you. Restart your Wi-Fi modem 1. Unplug the power cable on your Wi-Fi modem. 2. Make sure all the lights on the modem are off once you have unplugged it. 3. Wait ten (10) seconds. 4. Plug your modem back into the electrical outlet. Expect a three (3) minute delay to allow your devices to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network Recommendation: It is more effective to restart your Wi-Fi modem by unplugging its power cable instead of pressing its

Your home address Whether it’s your house, cottage or apartment, we need the address where you would like to have our Home Internet services installed. This step is crucial to check if the Fizz Home Internet service is available at your place. As you start to type in your address, the field will autofill with address proposals. Make sure you pick the right one, all the way down to your apartment number if applicable.
