I can’t send or receive text messages (SMS). Why?
Some text messages sent by businesses such as 2-step verification messages may not be sent to your phone properly. We continue to gradually roll out this type of service so that it operates optimally with as many companies as possible. Make sure you are in a zone that has adequate coverage. How do I make a conference call?
Conference calls enable you to talk with several people at the same time, regardless of where they are. Up to six people can participate in a conference call, including the initial caller (up to five simultaneous callers, plus the person who initiated the call). This feature enables you to set up a call that several people can participate in. To launch a conference call: Call the first conference call participant and tell them to be patient. Using your Phone application, tap the Add (or Add call or the + symbol) and dial the number of the next person who is joining the call. Once you are connected to the third person, tap the Conference button. If other people are joining the call, repeat steps 2 and 3. Note: Steps to follow to make a conference call can very from one phone model to another. It is possible that this option will not function on a network other than Fizz.

Subscription area versus coverage area
Mobile services are available in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. To check if your address is located in an area where the subscription is available and to get more details about the coverage, please refer to our dynamic coverage map. What is the difference between my coverage area and subscription area? Your coverage area is where you can use your Fizz plan without paying roaming fees. When you subscribed and created your plan, you chose your coverage area: provincial (Quebec, Ontario, British Colombia, Alberta or Manitoba), Canada or USA + Canada. If you roam outside your coverage area, you can use your Fizz plan on our partner networks. Log into your account any time to change your coverage area: How to change your plan. Any change will take effect at the start of your next payment cycle. If you selected the provincial coverage in your plan, consider buying a Travel Add-on or an International call Add-on to make your calls to Canada or the United States. The subscription area is the area where you must live to be a Fizz subscriber. If you live in the subscription area and your address is not recognized, do not hesitate to contact us so that we check with you. How do I set up call forwarding?
Call forwarding allows you to forward your calls to another phone number of your choice. It’s useful when you’re on the move, or when you wish to be reached at a number other than your Fizz mobile phone number. Call forwarding and VoLTE. Call forwarding will work when you use a VoLTE certified phone, activated with a VoLTE compatible SIM card. If your phone is not VoLTE certified, manually setting up call forwarding will not work. Call forwarding for the voicemail option remains functional. The details about VoLTE Manually set up Call forwarding To use the Call forwarding function, make sure your plan includes minutes or that you have funds in your Wallet to pay-per-use. Only outgoing calls are possible when call forwarding is activated. Your phone will not ring and you will not receive any notifications (message, missed call, etc.). All incoming calls will be automatically forwarded to the programmed number until the call forwarding function is disabled. To activate call forwarding, dial: **21*(number you’re forwarding to)# You can add commas to indicate a pause while dialling. My phone is using an unusual or high amount of data. Why?
The amount of data your phone uses may vary depending on how you use it, which native installations are running on it, and which applications you have installed. Some applications, native or not, can use your mobile data in the background. For example, cloud-based apps such as Google Drive or Apple iCloud could be using your data to automatically backup your photos, videos, and documents. Some streaming music or video services can also download content in the background. Fizz provides you with handy tools to keep you informed about your mobile data usage: A usage metre (visible when you first sign in to your account) tells you how fast you are consuming your minutes and your data, compared to the amount available in your plan. Notifications at 75%, 90% and 100% of your usage. Note: You must log into your account and activate notifications at 75% and 90% usage. If you do not, you will only receive a notification when you are at 100% of your usage. You can also check your mobile data usage directly via your phone. The steps to follow to check your data usage can vary depending on the type of phone you have. How do I set up and use my voicemail?
Voicemail allows people to leave you a message if your phone is off, the line is busy, or there is no answer after four rings (20 seconds). You can listen to your messages at any time from your mobile phone or an analogue phone. Voicemail includes Visual messaging. Visual voicemail is like a power-boosted voicemail. You can listen to and manage your messages without having to "call" your voicemail. Available for IOS and Android phones.
