A reliable cellular network at your service, across the country.
No matter where the road takes you across the country, go up and about knowing you can count on reliable cellular coverage thanks to our mobile network and that of our great national partners.2
Subscription areas (main and extended)
If you live in one of these areas, you can subscribe to Fizz mobile services. The majority of your usage must be within your subscription zone, regardless of the coverage chosen for your plan.
Good to know: If your address falls in a subscription area identified as extended on the map), you’ll be using a partner network, but you won't be roaming.
Coverage area
Thanks to partner networks, Fizz mobile services can be used everywhere in the coverage area, based of course on the coverage option you selected for your plan.
Important: The majority of your usage must be done within your subscription area.
Where do you want to use your mobile plan?
Fizz mobile services work across the country. Up to you to choose (and pay) only for what you need.3
If you’re planning to use your mobile services mostly within the province, best to save by choosing the Ontario coverage.
Perfect choice if you often call or text across Canada or are planning a trip somewhere in the country.
Even for a short trip south of the border, changing your plan will most likely be cheaper than buying a Travel Add-on.
Fizz follows you everywhere, even on your trips.
With a Travel Add-on, you pay a fixed price for a block of data abroad. A good thing to have in case free Wi-Fi becomes scarce.

Easy to love.
I really love Fizz's approach to cell phone plans. The freedom and transparency are great. The ability to rollover data, get perks and rewards is amazing.
Happy, and not going back.
I've been with Fizz since the beta days and frankly, I'm really glad I made the switch.
No price hike.
Fantastic. Been using them for over 5 years and would not go back to anyone else. They never raise your plan like the rest of them. Self-serve for support is not a bad thing.
Questions and their answers.
When will Fizz have a 5G network?
The telecoms industry, including Fizz, is working to establish a 5G network across the country. Until then, the LTE-Advanced network on which Fizz operates is extensive and reliable, as well as being more than enough for mobile service needs.1 5G is a fascinating technology that will enable advances in many sectors. For average mobile users, however, there aren’t many benefits.
What’s VoLTE technology, and what does it have to do with the LTE-Advanced network Fizz uses?
You already benefit from our LTE-Advanced network for your mobile data, with speeds of up to 500 Mbps.1 VoLTE stands for "Voice over LTE network", which means that a phone call uses the LTE network. With the 3G network set to disappear, VoLTE will enable your calls to pass through the LTE-Advanced network too.
Can I subscribe to Fizz no matter where I live in Canada?
Your home address will be validated as you subscribe and that is what will determine if you reside in a subscription area. Once subscribed, you can use your mobile services in the coverage areas based on the mobile plan you chose: provincial, CAN or CAN-U.S..3
If I choose a provincial plan, what does that entail?
Let's take this mobile plan as an example to illustrate different scenarios:
Coverage: Provincial (so, let’s say Ontario)
Data: 5 GB
Texts: Unlimited
Minutes: Unlimited
First off, incoming text messages will always work/come in, no matter where you are and no matter where the sender is. So, your aunt in India can text you anytime. Outgoing texts (the texts you make) will go through as long as you’re in Canada.
If you are within your provincial coverage, in this example Ontario, all your outgoing calls (the calls that you make) must be made within Ontario. You can receive calls from anywhere. In other words, your cousin in the United States can call you, but you can’t call him. Your mobile data can only be used when you are within your coverage area, therefore when you’re in Ontario with this example.
If you're outside your chosen provincial coverage area (e.g. you've made your way to Vancouver, BC), you will not be able to make or receive calls and use your plan's mobile data (you'll need a Travel Add-on).
Why does Fizz work with partners for its cellular network?
Fizz operates its own network across most of Canada.1 When our members find themselves out of range of our network, they automatically join one of our partner networks at no charge, thus ensuring fluid, quality service in slightly more remote locations.2,3 This procedure is the same for all Canadian operators.
