What if I’m unable to transfer my phone number?

If we’re unable to transfer your old phone number (and you are still subscribed to your previous mobile provider) your subscription with this provider will remain active. While we work at transferring your number, your Fizz plan will be created and you'll be able to make calls, text and use data. You will be unable to receive calls or texts. These will be directed to your previous mobile provider. If the transfer turns out to be impossible, we'll let you know what your options are. How do I get a new phone number?

There are two ways to get a new phone number for your Fizz plan. You can: Choose a random phone number. Choose the last 4 digits of your phone number. Choose a random number How to choose a random phone number To change your phone number to a random new number: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. If there is more than one plan on your account, scroll to the plan you wish to change. Click on Manage and choose Change phone number . Here you will see your current phone number and two options: Select the middle option: Get a new number . Choose a number from the list. (Click Get a new number list to refresh this list. Note that you can only refresh this list 5 times. When you refresh this list, you will not be able to go back to the previous list of numbers.) Click Confirm . Choose the last 4 digits How to choose the last 4 digits of your phone number If you decide to choose the last 4 digits of your phone number your account will be charged a $1.00 one-time fee. How to change your number and choose the last 4 digits: Log into your account. Click on My Plans in the top navigation. How do I choose my phone number?

Choosing your phone number is the third step in getting your mobile plan up and running. When you receive your SIM card in the mail, log into your account to activate it. This step leads to the Plan Wizard, which enables you to configure your phone plan. After this is done, we may ask you to confirm your home address. Then you will choose your Fizz phone number. There are three ways to select or configure your phone number: Transfer your current phone number from your previous mobile provider. (Your number must be active to transfer from another provider.) I’ve waited more than two hours and still can’t use my plan. What’s wrong?

If you are waiting to use your plan because you transferred your number to Fizz, there may be delays if we experience errors with transferring your number. If this happens, we will send you a text explaining the reason for the delay and telling you what you need to do (if anything) to fix the situation.
