Nobody likes losing something they’ve paid for. Which is exactly why we roll over your unused data at the end of each month. There’s nothing you need to do — your unused data is automatically rolled over to the next month at the end of each payment cycle. Rolled over data lasts for the two following payment cycles, even if you change your plan. It’s always used before your monthly data. So if you have rolled over data, you’ll use it up first and then move onto the data in your regular plan Please note that minutes are not transferable. Can I gift my unused data instead of having it roll over? Yes. You can gift any unused data when you’re near the end of your payment cycle. You can only gift data from your current payment cycle, and it must be gifted before your payment cycle ends (before your data rolls over). Learn about gifting data When to expect a Rollover When does my unused data roll over? Your unused data will roll over at the end of each payment cycle. To see when your payment cycle ends: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Under each plan (if you have more than one), you will be able to see how much time is left in your current payment cycle. When does rolled over data expire How do I know when my rolled over data will expire? Each batch of rolled over data will expire after two (2) complete payment cycles, and this even if you change your plan. To see when a Rollover will expire: Go to My Plans in your Fizz account. Under the plan you wish to view (if you have more than one) click on See Usage. This will open the Usage screen, which

I’m moving. How do I change my address for my Home Internet service?
Moving your Home Internet plan is done directly from your account. Submit your request under My plans > Manage plan > Moving my service. Word of the wise, don’t forget to pack your Fizz Wi-Fi modem and bring it with you on your moving day! Need to change your Home Internet plan? No worries, but plan to do so before or after your move. You cannot modify your Home Internet plan during your move. Date coordination Chances are the date you choose to deactivate your Home Internet service at your current address will differ from the installation date you select for your new digs. If that’s your case, no worries. Your plan will be simply put on pause, and you won't incur any fees during that time. Your payment cycle will shift and begin upon activation at your new address. You don't need to do anything; this activation will be done automatically. If a technician’s visit is required, the time needed to get an appointment varies based on demand. So, make sure to plan ahead during the moving season in June and July. A plan (or the service) is not available As you fill out your move request for your Home Internet plan, we’ll obviously ask you to enter your new address. One of three things can happen: > All is fine. This is great, but chances are this is not your case if you’re reading this section of our FAQ. > The download speed you have now is not available at your new address. Perhaps you are moving from an area with high bandwidth to one with lower bandwidth, which impacts the download speeds available to you. Choose a new plan. On the activation date of your new plan at your new address, your old plan will be refunded
FAQ
How do payment cycles work?
Start date Please note that a payment cycle does not necessarily follow calendar months. For example, if you subscribe on June 6th, your payment cycle will be from June 6th to July 5th. For your mobile service: The date on which you activate your SIM card is the anniversary date for your mobile plan, and this date marks the start of your payment cycle each month. For your Home Internet service: You received your Fizz Wi-Fi modem by mail? Its activation date marks the beginning of your payment cycle. Don’t forget, Fizz will activate it remotely three (3) days after its delivery date, but you can activate it yourself in your account if you’re ready before then. Your modem was delivered by a technician? If you had an installation appointment with a technician, your modem will be activated then, and the date of your appointment therefore marks the beginning of your payment cycle. For your TV service: The payment cycle for your TV plan will be the same as the one for your Home Internet plan. But because your TV plan is activated as soon as you subscribe, you may need to pay a prorated amount on that day to bridge the gap until the next payment cycle of your Home Internet plan . Say you subscribe to Fizz TV on December 14, but your next payment cycle for your Home Internet plan only starts on December 30. The prorated amount you will pay on December 14 will therefore correspond to those 16 days. Come your next full payment cycle, December 30 in our example, the payments for both those plans (internet and TV) will be combined, and the payment cycle for your TV plan will be synchronized to the payment cycle of your Home Internet plan. Duration Please note

What are the STIR/SHAKEN standards for mobile phones?
STIR/SHAKEN is a set of procedures aiming to verify caller identity. They are intended to help combat unwanted calls received by members of the public. STIR (Secure Telephone Identity Revisited) is an acronym for a set of standards that allow a telecommunications service provider to verify the legitimacy of a caller’s number when a call is made. SHAKEN (Signature-based Handling of Asserted Information using toKENs) is an acronym for a framework that allows different operators to deploy the STIR protocol to authenticate calls made and received on the IP network. Why it’s important The STIR/SHAKEN standards involve different ways to indicate whether the caller number displayed on compatible mobile devices is trustworthy. The CRTC has required all Canadian telecommunications service providers to implement these standards to combat caller identity spoofing. Good to know: Spoofing is a technique that alters the caller ID information displayed on your phone to hide the caller’s identity. This technique is based on the principle that we are more likely to respond when we receive a call that appears legitimate (such as a local phone number). Spoofing can be used for unethical reasons such as deceptive telemarketing or fraud. There are times, however, when changing the caller’s identity is acceptable. A doctor for instance, calling to discuss a patient’s lab results may want to display the hospital’s number rather than their personal number. Under what conditions can a number be verified? Because the standards are being rolled out and are not yet supported by all vendors, not all calls are verified. A caller’s number can only be verified if it meets all of the following criteria: The standard is applied by both caller’s and the recipient’s telephone service provider. The voice call is made between individuals who subscribe to a Canadian telecommunications service. The call is
