The stabilization period of our mobile services 
is ending.


Why did Fizz need a stabilization period?

Launching a bold and different mobile service, and choosing to do so using innovative technology, entails a certain level of complexity. This period was therefore required to reinforce our mobile services which have now been stable for several weeks. 


So everything is back to normal now?

Absolutely. Our mobile services have proven themselves, and we are confident we can offer you a product that will meet your expectations, as well as ours.


Now that the stabilization period is over, will the prices increase?

As we announced during the stabilization period, the price of our mobile plans will increase. The new prices will be posted on our website come October 17, 2019. 


What will happen to the price of my plan?

I subscribed BEFORE April 12, 2019:

To thank you for being true ambassadors from the get-go, the price you are paying now will stay the same once the stabilization period is over.1 If you change your plan after October 16, however, you will lose the price you are paying now, and regular prices will apply. 


I subscribed BETWEEN April 12, 2019 AND October 16th, 2019 inclusively:

When you subscribed to Fizz during the stabilization period, you were informed that your plan was to switch to its regular price once that period was over. But to thank you for your patience and collaboration, you get to keep the price you are paying now until early 2020. You will be notified of the switch to the regular price 30 days in advance. If you change your plan after October 16, however, you will lose the price you’re paying now, and regular prices will apply. 


I plan on subscribing STARTING October 17, 2019:

The regular prices of our mobile plans, as posted on our website at the time of the activation of the SIM card, will apply. 

Are you planning on increasing your prices?

As a prepaid service provider, we don’t have fixed-term contracts that tie us to the price of a plan. That being said, Fizz plans on staying competitive. We’ve been fair and transparent with you since our launch, and we plan on keeping it that way.


What if I want to make changes to my mobile plan?

You can make changes to your monthly plan anytime. Any change must be made 48 hours before the end of your payment cycle, and will come into effect come the next one. It is important, however, to know the following:


Changes made BEFORE October 17, 2019:

If you change your plan before October 17, reduced prices will apply (even if these changes will come into effect after October 17).

Changes made STARTING October 17, 2019:

If you change your plan on or after October 17, regular prices will apply.


If I want to add an Add-on to my plan, does that count as a change, which will result in me paying regular prices?

No. An Add-on is a punctual additional block of data, minutes, texts or international minutes that you’re adding to your monthly plan. It’s not a recurrent change to your monthly plan, which means your plan will keep its reduced price. Other examples that won’t impact the reduced price of your plan include any action related to your Fizz wallet, a change of address, phone number or payment method, adding an extra user to your account or any action listed under the advanced parameters menu. 

However, Fizz also offers recurring options for your plan. And so adding the voicemail or international call option to your monthly plan will result in your plan switching to regular prices.


What happens if I make a change to my plan using the rewards I received via the My Rewards program?

The rewards you received, whether buckets of mobile data or dollar rebates, can be added, changed or removed from your plan at anytime. This type of change will not impact the advantage you are enjoying for the price of your plan. These rewards were given to you to thank you for being with us. They complement your plan so it works harder for you month after month. Hence, don’t hold back and enjoy your rewards whenever you please. 


Does that mean that I’ll never have the opportunity to make changes to my mobile plan?

We are currently working on a solution to offer you greater flexibility, and allow you to experience Fizz to its full potential. We’ll get back to you on that in the new year.

Will the price of the Home Internet service also increase?

The stabilization period did not concern our Home Internet service. You can therefore pursue your online activities with peace of mind.
