Note: Devices sold on or after December 1, 2017 must be unlocked by default.

Contact the provider who originally sold you the device to obtain your unlock code.

How to unlock your mobile phone
  1. Insert the Fizz SIM card in your mobile phone.
  2. Turn on your phone.
  3. Your phone will ask you for an unlock code.

Your unlock code will be provided free of charge by the mobile service provider who originally sold your phone.

After you correctly type the unlock code, your phone will display a confirmation message that the network lock has been removed.

Note: Some phone settings may be misconfigured following this process.

After unlocking your phone, reboot it (power cycle) by holding down your phone’s start button for 10 seconds.

Then check the configuration of your device’s APN (see below).

How to configure your phone’s APN

APN information for Fizz is as follows:

  • APN:
  • MMSC:
  • MMS proxy:
  • MMS port: 80
  • APN type: default, mms OR internet + mms (Depending on the device)
  • Other fields should be filled by default or not essential.

The process for configuring your APN can vary from one phone to another. Here are two examples:

Android: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access point names → APN

iPhone: Update via iTunes or your WiFi network

Note: Some phones only mention the presence of a lock, without necessarily requiring an unlock code.

If this is your situation, you will need to contact the supplier who sold you your phone.

How to unlock your home screen if you’ve mistyped or forgotten your PIN

If you forget your PIN, unlock pattern, or if facial/fingerprint recognition is not working, there may be some alternatives for accessing your mobile device.

Some companies offer a service that bypasses these locks or recovers your PIN.

  • Google: ‘’Find my Device’’
  • Samsung: ‘’Find my Mobile’’
  • Apple: ‘’iCloud - Find My iPhone’’
  • Etc.

Note: In most cases, these tools must be configured beforehand.

Some phones have an option that allows you to directly bypass your screen lock after several failed attempts to unlock it.

As a last recourse, your phone can be reset to its factory default settings.
